Wet n' Wild Lavender Creme with Icing Hazelnut / Icing un-named comparison

Here is a mani I did a few weeks ago but never posted for some reason, Wet n Wild Lavender Creme with a comparison of Icing Hazelnut and a mini un-named similar colour form an LE 5 set. There is a slight difference, very slight. The Icing mini polish has a tad more red to it.

Icing Hazelnut is a brown shimmery frost, that with careful thin coats does not leave alot of brush marks like many frosts do ( those nasty, nasty frosts)

I have to mention that I wore my last mani, Wet n Wild Teal of Fortune for 5 3/4 days! It is very very pretty. Luckily there is 6 versions of this very same nail polish available all over the world. I did find that it stained my fingers when I removed it, even though I applied moisturizer all over my hands and into my cuticles before removal..... just a heads up.

Below; 3 thin coats with TC - Wet n Wild Laveneder Creme is a bright fun pink, I had this for months and months before I even tried it. I really like it and have used it quite a bit in the last few weeks.

I love this diagonal mani look, its simple to do ~ but I can never get it to look as sharp just using the polish brush, I need these french tip guides. I even tried using a stripe polish to get a diagonal line, (and then fill it in of course) but they don't seem to come out even.

♥ NYC Canal Street ♥

NYC Canal Street  3 thin coats - this IS AN AWESOME POLISH!

Well, well, well ~ i FAIL AT AUTO-POST!

Merry Christmas nail polish blog-land and pardon me for not double-checking my blog & auto-post feature. Hopefully everyone had a fun, enjoyable holiday. I am happy to be home.

This week I plan to model the rest of the NYC In A New York Minute polish's I have acquired recently - the 'sorta boring common' shades that I seem to have passed on previously. I think because the display for this brand is all tucked away and squished together I tend to pass them by. These polish's dry fast and have superb colour pay-off, there is a great selection of colours and the formula is awesome. I loooooooove these! I am sorry I waited so long to buy them all.

This is 3 thin coats of NYC Canal Street, a rich bronze-burgundy. It looks like a metallic foil on the nail - but it is not a foil, so there will be no bits of silver all over my hands . I know there are some great outdoor swatches of this on Google images, but I still want to get outside for some better macro shots in the a.m. tomorrow. This formula is fabulous and it applied wonderfully. I am appalled that these are only .99 cents to $2.50-ish they are definitely a superior polish and it is worth having the entire collection ( even the boring work appropriate colours are nice! )

all my photos are indoors under fluorescent lighting.....( EDIT I added 2 outdoor shots )

... another one of these.....

This is the easy type of nail art. I applied 2 coats of the Icing No-Name red shimmer, and when it was dry I applied Nailene Straight French Tip Guides and then added 2 coats of Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Emerald city - I removed the nail tip guides ASAP, I found that I got a much cleaner line this way, and added the copper glitter striping polish. ( I love that brush It is awesome! )

I am trying to work through my untried polish's but after I applied this I searched my own blog and found that I have already worn this for a N.O.T.D. ! This Icing polish is a very pretty polish but looks a little on the pink side in most of these photo's. It is from the Alice in Wonderland knock-off set found at Icing stores

(also  ~ For Danielle - the multi-coloured glitter in the Icing set above is unlike OPI Mad As A Hatter in that the Icing polish does not have Forrest Green, deep purple or Navy blue like Mad as A Hatter does)

♥ Icing 'I know someone named it already' ♥

2 coats & 2 coats of Nailene T.C. = Ring finger is 1 coat for some reason w/ 2 coats of Nailene T.C.

I know that someone has given lovely names to all the Icing nail polish's which come in the 5 pack sets..... I will do a little internet sleuthing and find out the name of this beauty. While the brush strokes are very apparent with this shimmery polish; I dont mind them - I think they add a lot to the beauty of this polish - and normally if I can get my brushstrokes in a straight line I am happy. I was super-duper busy the last 2 days and have a lot of wear on this Mani. My oudoor photos are after 2 days of wear.

This is a lovely bronze-ey shimmer from an Icing 5 pack I recently acquired---- Icing you have redeemed your self in my eyes, and I will likely begin purchasing polish's form your lovely store. I will no longer bypass purchasing icing polish's - i always ended up buying the sheerest of sheer polish's which was disappointing and turned me off from getting any more = but lately I have snagged some great ones.

The backdrop in my indoor photos is a foil silver bubble envelope..... like bubble wrap but in envelope form, and a shiny foil-ey silver...... for some reason, the photos I have been getting with this are turning out great! Most are really crisp and clear..... I noticed as well that some of the hand poses people are doing with mirrors their are getting lovely crisp photos.....

♥ Midie #318 ♥

This polish was a surprise - I was actually counting on this polish being a bit more sheer, but it it turned out to be lovely and opaque after 3 coats. This polish 'Midie' was a polish form my Ontario vacation haul and I am super glad I picked it up. I almost passed on it - almost. They had some really beautiful colors in that store - oh well, something for next time ♥

On my ring finger, is just 3 coats, while the rest of my nails are 2 coats of Billie 'Black' followed by 2 coats of Midie #318. All my nails have 2 coats of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat.

This polish was a 4 on the stinky-ness scale, and dried  in a decent amount of time on it's own. i love this color, I feel like comparing it to wood or pine cones..... hopefully I can come up with some prop to model this with, as there is no sunshine to get a good outdoor photo beside my pine tree.
