Review - Hard Candy Blush Crush - Baked Blush
I have mentioned before here on Tropical Mind that I love Hard Candy cosmetics. They make all sorts of awesome products and I really love their nail polish. Todays review is for the Blush Crush Baked Blushes. Say that 3 times fast! HaHa!
These blushes remind me a lot of MAC Mineralize Skinfinishes (MSF's) but without the hefty price tag. I love the unique swirl of color each blush has and the generous amount of blush in the container. And like all Hard Candy products the packaging is super cute. These blushes are baked (hence the name) and I love how they are domed and it is very easy to get the amount of product on your brush by swirling it over the blush.
I have the 2 colors pictured above which are Living Doll and Pin Up. These make excellent highlighters, eye shadows and blush and can be used wet or dry. They apply so silky and really give you that glowy airbrush effect.
These blushes retail for $7 and are available at Walmart.
So how about some swatches? Please note that these are VERY heavy handed swatches so these won't be as intense on your face as they are as pictured.
Living Doll is the top shade. It is a cool toned Barbie like pink, but is very wearable. Pink is the main shade and you will also see pale yellow veining. I assure you it doesn't look like something you would have liking using as play makeup when you were 5! It looks scary bright in the pan, but is really a gorgeous baby pink that gives you a healthy glowing flush.
Pin Up is the bottom shade and is a warmed toned tan neutral shade that has just a touch of black and grey veining. Sounds odd right? But it is amazing and makes for a very simple day to day blush or an awesome highlighter over blush or bronzer. I've even used this one as eye shadow and it's amazing! If you want a gorgeous golden glow then this one really delivers!
Hard Candy Blush Crush Baked Blushes are available in 4 shades. CLICK HERE to visit Hard Candy's site today and check out all their awesome products!
For my local readers - Hard Candy Cosmetics are available at Walmart and I have personally spotted them at both the Hwy 64 and G'town Pkwy locations.
