Review - Nubian Heritage Ivorian Cocoa Butter Soap
I had posted awhile back about buying Nubian Heritage Ivorian Cocoa Butter Soap so now it's review time!
First I'll start with the ingredients:
Ivorian Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Palm Kernel Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Milk Chocolate, Hazelnut, Soaps of Coconut & Palm
I'll also tell you that I am normally a fan of body wash, not bar soaps. Usually bar soaps tend to be too harsh ingredient wise for my skin. I do love original Dove bar soap, but it's not completely natural like Nubian Heritage.
I've been using the Ivorian Cocoa Butter Soap for almost 2 weeks now and I cannot begin to tell you what a difference it has made for my skin. I use it on my face in the morning and all over for my body in the shower.I have also started using it to remove my makeup at night and it takes off every last bit - even hard to remove eye makeup. My skin feels amazing, smells amazing and it has really improved the overall tone and texture. I have KP (Keratosis Pilaris) on my upper arms (it's heriditary) and if you are unfamiliar it is small little bumps that can flair up from time to time if picked at or if certain products irritate it. Well let me tell you my arms look almost normal from using this soap. I could tell a different the first time I used it.
I'm really becoming a strong believer in chemical free/all natural/organic/fair trade body products. It only makes sense to use natural things on our bodies. And their are PLENTY of amazing ingredients found in nature too.
Here's why I love Nubian Heritage Ivorian Cocoa Butter Soap:
1. No chemicals or nasty detergents
2. Smells awesome - just like chocolate!
3. Makes my skin super soft and glowy
4. Has greatly improved the texture of my skin
5. It is 100% natural
6. Buy purchasing you are supporting fair trade and a family business
7. NO animal testing
8. Feel like I have been to a day spa everytime I get out of the shower when using it
Nubian Heritage makes lots of different soaps. There is something for everyone!
Here is a list of some of their other soaps to give you an idea:
African Black Soap

Olive Butter and Green Tea
Peppermint

Check out Nubian Heritage today!
From what I have been reading online Nubian Heritage products are very commonly found at local beauty supply stores. I found that to be true when I checked at a beauty supply near my house and they had a great price on the soaps.
*Just a side note - If you purchase Nubian Heritage Ivorian Cocoa Butter Soap you will notice it is a beautiful dark brown color. Since this soap is all natural there will be a brownish shade to the lather that forms from using the soap. Don't be alarmed - it won't stain you or your bathtub/shower. However it could possibly stain light colored washcloths. Use a bath poof or dark color washcloths just in case.
*For my local readers - Nubian Heritage products can be found at Whole Foods on Poplar Avenue in Memphis, Hippie Geek on Hwy 64 in Bartlett and Wig and Beauty to the left of Target @ Wolfchase.
