December Favorites
I hope that all of you are having an awesome December! Is it just me or has 2010 been a huge blur? It seems like this has been the fastest year of all time. With Christmas just 2 weeks away and the New Year approaching, I thought I'd share some of my current favorites with you while there is still shopping time left.
The first item on my December Favorites list is something that would make an awesome gift. I am seriously obsessed with Tyler Candles. If you have never heard of them they are from Tyler, TX and come in the most amazing scents. There is a small shop that my husband and I like to stop at down in Mississippi on our way to the beach called Donna's #6 Produce that sells them. I have several scents, but my hands down favorite is Warm Sugar Cookie. I know there are lots of sugar cookie scented candles out there, but this one beats them all. Seriously! Whenever I burn this candle (which is pretty much all the time!) my friends always freak out when they come over and people are constantly asking what it is. I love the cute leopard print lids too! Tyler candles are available in several different sizes and you can order them on Amazon.com.
Up next on the list is Jergen's Ultra Healing Lotion. This is an oldie but goodie and I have used it forever. To me it's the perfect year round non scented lotion. I use it all the time and it works like a charm. If you wear perfume it is ideal and won't clash with your fragrance. It's just plain good stuff and that never goes out of style.
I'm a huge fan of trying out new blushes and one of my current favorites is NYX Blush in Pinky. It's super smooth and very pigmented. Pinky is a very bright pink in the pan and just the tiniest bit is all you need. It reminds me of MAC Dollymix blush which I also love. I use a skunk brush and a very light hand to apply mine. You end up with the most perfect pink flushed color that looks amazingly natural. Check it out at NYXcosmetics.com
I'm extremely picky when it comes to makeup for my face i.e. - foundation, powder etc. It's rare that I find a foundation from the drugstore that is rave worthy, but I have totally found it. L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup is hands down the best drugstore foundation I've ever used. It is buildable which I really like and it never looks cakey. They have lots of shade options so there is something for everyone. This foundation has never broken me out either. I have oily skin and it works for me. My shade is W4 Natural Beige. The best price on this item is at Walmart.com
Last but definitely not least is another of my all time beauty favorites. I'm obsessed with cocoa butter and all it's many uses. Queen Helene makes lots of awesome beauty products and I love their 100% Natural Cocoa Butter Sticks. I buy mine at Dollar General and they usually have them at drugstores. They are $1 and last for a super long time. I use mine for my lips, dry skin on my face, cuticles, rough knees and elbows, undereye treatment and also for the ends of my hair. Now that's an amazing all in one very inexpensive beauty solution! And I love how it smells and how it works. Doesn't get much better than that. Check it out on Amazon.com
Stay warm and have a great rest of December everyone!!!
