Eye Look - Wet N Wild Color Icon Lust Palette
So I don't typically do eye makeup tutorials. I'm usually busy watching others on You Tube and taking notes for myself. Today I decided to snap a pic of my eye look featuring Wet N Wild's Color Icon palette in Lust. I love love love this palette and it is a total must have for purple lovers. And I must say it is one of the best $4 I have ever spent!
Just a fun fact - Purple eye makeup really enhances both blue and brown eyes. Try it sometime!
Okay so here it is:
And here's what I used:
I always prime my eyelids since mine tend to be oily. I love Urban Decay Primer Potion and have recently sampled Hard Candy's eye primer and love it too. I used the 2 dark matte purples from the left side of the palette. Here are the steps to this look:
1. Prime eyelids with your primer of choice.
2. Apply L.A. Colors Mineral eyeshadow in Beige as an all over wash. One of the 2 light shades from the Lust palette would work too. Click HERE to read my review of this eyeshadow.
3. Using the middle color on the left hand side of the Lust palette, apply color to entire lid.
4. Using bottom left side color of the Lust palette, apply color to outer V.
5. Apply Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Lust to lower waterline and line upper lid.
6. Using a small eye brush, apply color from step #3 along bottom of lower lid.
7. Using color from step #4, apply color on outer lower lid.
8. Top off the look with Maybelline Full N Soft Very Black Mascara.
9. You are finished!
This is a fun colorful alternative smoky eye look that is very wearable. This was more bold in real life as the camera washes it out a bit and the pic was taken in bright natural light.
There are endless possibilities when it comes to using this palette from Wet N Wild. I have created so many different looks. If you have yet to purchase any of the Color Icon palettes from Wet N Wild and you are wanting to experiment with color, then this is the way to go. These are under $4 and are very pigmented and very good quality. Pick one up next time you are at Target, Walmart and various drugstores. You will love them!
