Icing Roger That & Icing Rainbow LE set for Spring 2010

 ummmmmm, this does not look like this in real life... wtf happened?

This lovely Icing nail polish, Roger That, is much, much more green in real life. I think that I need o get some outdoor sunshine photos for this one. I have seen this posted on a few of the blogs and I noticed that those photos looked a little on the blue side, too.

I have been wearing this for two days and don't want to take it off. The lively teal base colour is saturated with noticeable glass fleck shimmer. It applied perfectly, in 3 coats and dried to a ridiculous shine.... I still used Top Coat anyway becuase it took a little longer to dry than most Icing polish's i have tried ( It is humid in my home atm )

I am sorry it took me so long to buy this!

What other polish's available have the same base colour as Icing Roger That?

.... and some lovely Icing polish's from one of their "LE" sets. I am pretty sure this came out in spring 2010. None of these have names but all 5 have a beautiful finish. I love that subtle shimmer.... anyone know what it's called?

 above 3 thin coats - no TC

2 thin coats - NO TC

1 ridiculously thick coat - needs thinner, with 1 coat of TC

 3 thin coats no TC

2 coats no TC

any names....anyone?

♥ Extreme Wear Polish Skittles ♥

 ~ Sally Hansen Extreme Skittles ~

I wasn't really interested in the new Sally Hansen Extreme Wear polish's when they first came out. I like my brush handles to be long and thinner, not stumpy like these are, and I am stubborn and did not want to learn to master the pro-wide brush. They certainly have some awesome colors and I figured I would pick some of the glitters up eventually. I did end up finding 'Flirt' on sale in a bargain bin for $ 1.14 CAD, so I figured I should give it  a try..... WOW - HERE is my post on 'Flirt' if you are interested, this Sally Hansen Extreme Wear - 'Flirt' polish lasted on my toes for 14 days, with very little wear and tare. And I was not wearing a top coat.....That is impressive!

Any hoo- I figured that if I ended up back in the same shop where I purchased flirt, and they still had a basket filled with these girly colors on clearance I would pick them all up. For $1.14 - why not? They are all 'safe pink girlie' colors - but I would still wear them - with the exception of 'Cotton Candy' and 'Pink Confetti' - the glitter payoff is not as I anticipated in 'Pink Confetti' and 'Cotton Candy' is really, really sheer... It would probably take 5 coats to get to the bottle color.

I have done a previous post HERE of this haul, but I wanted to do a skittles of these to see what they look really like.  With the exception of  'Hot Magenta' which has to be a polish from another planet or have some sort of radioactive material in it, these were all 3 coats. No Top Coat.
THUMB -  Cotton Candy = 4 coats!!!!
INDEX -  Iced Coffee = 2 coats
MIDDLE - Strawberry Icing = 3 coats
RING - Hot Magenta = 2 coats
PINKY - Pink Confetti = 3 coats

'Hot Magenta' on my ring finger, was totally throwing my camera off....All the photos I took in the sunshine and with flash seem off to me. But all the photos I took indoors and in the shade turned out just fine..... Almost like when I am photographing neon or fluorescent polish's = weird!

♥ Sally Hansen New Lengths Ceramics Skittles ♥

Another Skittles, These are all polish's that are still available in Canadian stores. I had walked by these sooooo many times and thought they were totally boring. But 'Coral Pink', 'Daiquiri' and 'Diva' were really, really surprising! I found all 5 of these polish at a pharmacy in my town~ they came in a set with a clear nail polish and were on sale ( OF COURSE! ) for $1.99 CAD { Post HERE }

On my THUMB is 2 coats of  'Blackberry' the polish I used for my 'Chainsaw Mani'. This is a beautiful deep red packed with shimmer.

  'Coral Pink'- on my RING nail, is a polish my mom had bought and worn....... I noticed how intense this color was .... WOW -  The indoor fluorescent photos of 'Coral Pink' are more realistic. It really does look plain and boring at the store. Something was throwing my camera off in the outdoor sunshine pic's and I am pretty sure it was the shimmery magenta colors, but just this on it's own also looked so.....off in the Sunshine ~.

IRL the 'Coral Pink' polish it is a cheerful notice-me-color that seemed so un-assuming on the shelf at the store. I am not sure why they chose the name ' Coral Pink', because this is a strait creme with subtle shimmer- coral. There is actually a few of these types of coral/orange Sally Hansen out there they look so demure in the bottle on the racks. I think they might have thrown some fluorescence in there because this one looks weird in the sunshine.....

My MIDDLE finger is Daiquiri - 2 coats, a ridiculous hot pink with lots and lots of shimmer. Beside it on my RING finger, is Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in 'Hot Magenta', these polish's are just 1/16 of a shade off from each other. I think that it was these polish's that were messing with my camera, they are screaming bright!

My RING is Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in 'Hot Magenta', ridiculously bright.

My PINKY nail is Sally Hansen 'Diva' sadly this was 4 coats, but next time I wear this I will be layering it over another polish..... it is a cool medium purple duo-chrome with a subtle light blue flash. I am certain that layering this polish will do it justice. { ...OOPS - I did layer it HERE }

 ~ Sunshine = ( remember my INDEX finger for later ) ~
