Wet N Wild Teal of Fortune

Wet N Wild has launched all brand new products for 2011 and this polish is one of them. This is their new Fast Dry Nail Color in Teal of Fortune. I haven't bought a new nail polish in forever, but when I saw this one and how beautiful it was I had to get it. I've had it on for a few days now and the wear is great. No chips and it's going strong. As usual I have used my normal Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. The pics do not do this shade justice and they also make it appear more blue than it is in actuality. The glass flecks/shimmer in this polish are absolutely gorgeous.

I purchased this polish at Walgreens and it was $1.99. Check out Nouveau Cheap for amazing pics of the entire collection.

Here's some pics for you! If you are a teal lover than this one is right up your alley =)

Lip Shimmers

Okay so after my post on tinted lip balms I thought I would share with you some of the different lip shimmers I have. Here we go!

First up we have Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer. I have only tried one of these and the one I have is super frosty. In my swatch pic below, Guava is on the top. As you can see it is a very frosty silvery pale pink. I can wear this if I apply just the tiniest bit and put some gloss on top. Otherwise on me it looks way over the top and garish.

Second we have Wet N Wild Natural Blend Lip Shimmer. My swatch pic above shows Sugar (middle) and Berry (bottom). Berry is my favorite out of all the lip shimmers I have mentioned in this post. It is very light as far as shimmer goes and it is very creamy and moisturizing. I feel this shade would look awesome on a variety of skintones. It's not too light and not to dark. It's just perfect! I love to wear it under lipgloss and lipstick too. Sugar is extremely similar to Burts Bee's Guava with the exception being it is a tiny bit more warm toned.

Last we have Chapstick True Shimmer. I didn't swatch these for y'all because honestly I can't tell a color difference at all. They are very cool toned and all I see is silver shimmer. Where these are nice is the fact that you have scent variety. I own Blended Fruit Sherbet, Peppermint Rush and Tropical. I bet you can guess my favorite - Tropical! It's your standard chapstick just in new scents and with a shimmer hookup.

These are all great products and perfect for the upcoming Spring and Summer for a light alternative to lipsticks. All brands mentioned above can be found at mass retailers and drugstores.

Wet N Wild Cosmetics - All new for 2010

As a loyal fan of Wet N Wild cosmetics for over 17 years, I am beyond thrilled about the new facelift the brand is receiving for 2010. This is one of the very first brands of makeup I bought when I was young and I still purchase it today. The quality has greatly improved over the years, but one thing has remained the same - the amazing low prices. To me, the coolest and most exciting part about Wet N Wild (commonly referred to as WnW by loyal online fans) is the fact that they really listen to what their clients want. They totally deliver by giving us on trend items for very inexpensive prices. Their products appeal to all ages, races, and those on a budget and those who are not. It doesn't get much better than that.

The new line has been totally revamped package wise to look more expensive and more durable. I picked up one of the new 6 color eyeshadow palettes in "Lust" which is all neutral and purple tones - 3 matte and 3 shimmery. At $3.99 it's quite a steal and it's super gorgeous. Also be sure to check out their new nail polish. I picked up Blue Moon for 99 cents and can't wait to use it.

Here's to one of the best drugstore cosmetic brands of all time! They have been going strong since 1979 and they are keeping the brand alive and thriving.
I sure do have a lot of memories of buying this brand in the 80's and I look forward to many years to come. Here are some promo pics from the WnW Facebook fan page =)Click HERE to visit WnW's corporate site.
