Review - Nubian Heritage Soaps

Some of you have read my review post here before for Nubian Heritage Ivorian Cocoa Butter soap and how wonderful it is. I seriously cannot get enough of these soaps! I wanted to mention them again incase you missed past reviews. I have now tried a variety of soaps from Nubian Heritage and cannot stop singing their praises.

Here's why I love Nubian Heritage soaps:

1. No chemicals or nasty detergents
2. All the different kinds smell amazing
3. Makes my skin super soft and glowy
4. Has greatly improved the texture of my skin
5. It is 100% natural - no harsh detergents
6. By purchasing you are supporting fair trade and a family business
7. NO animal testing
8. Feel like I have been to a day spa everytime I get out of the shower when using it

My skin has never looked or felt better than with continual usage of this soap. I use it for my face and my body. It has made a huge difference and I will never use anything else. It has evened out my skintone and my skin stays super clear. What more can you ask for? Nubian Heritage soaps are inexpensive too and they range from $2.49 a bar to $4.99 a bar depending on where you buy them.

I recommend the following soaps from Nubian Heritage:
Ivorian Cocoa Butter - this one is chocolate heaven!
Coconut and Papaya
Shea Butter with Frankincense and Myrrh
Olive Butter and Green Tea
Indian Hemp and Haitian Vetiver
Mango Butter

If you have never tried Nubian Heritage bar soaps you should totally check them out. They are widely available at local beauty supply stores and online.

For the locals:
I purchase my Nubian Heritage Soaps at Golden Beauty Supply at Germantown Pkwy/Dexter in the Rite Aid shopping center for $2.49 a bar. They are also available at Wig and Beauty in the Sports Authority/Best Buy shopping area at Wolfchase for $2.79 a bar.

Site of the Day - Hippie Geek

I'm a big fan of supporting local shops and boutiques especially since my family owns 2 local shoe stores where I live. I even try to find local shops when I am shopping for large items such as appliances and electronics. It's a great way to show support for your local community as well as finding really unique items that you won't see everyone wearing on the street. I love buying gifts for family and friends from local shops too since again you can find really unique and fun stuff.

Today I ventured into a new local shop where I live called Hippie Geek. I first found out about this shop while surfing the web for a product I was trying to find. When I saw that Hippie Geek was located just a few miles from my house I decided to go and check it out. The website was definitely calling to me! This merchant carries clothing from tie dye shirts to sundresses and tunics, Gurkees rope sandals, all sorts of jewelry, incense, purses, bath and body products, and typical hippie home decor and candles.

Below is a pic of the 2 items I purchased at Hippie Geek today =)

I am in love with the necklace I found at Hippie Geek! I used to make hemp necklaces and jewelry all the time when I was in high school. I even used to sell them to another local shop where I live. I thought this one was really unique. I love the macrame knots and the faceted blue stone.

Okay and I have to tell y'all about how absolutely AWESOME this soap is that I purchased. It's called Ivorian Cocoa Butter Soap and it's made with Milk Chocolate and Hazelnut Oil and is made by Nubian Heritage. I think you can imagine how amazing it smells! This soap is 100% vegetable based, contains NO animal by products and this company does NOT test on animals. They get my vote! I'm looking forward to trying more soaps from this company. Coconut and Papaya, Raw Shea Butter, Honey and Black Seed, and Olive Butter are all calling my name!

I had a fun little shopping trip today and I wanted to share it with y'all. Like what you've read? Visit Hippie Geek's website by clicking below!
