I'm Back! Spring Break Beach Haul!

I hope everyone had an awesome Spring Break! I know we sure did! We are back from Orange Beach and Destin and I wanted to share with you some of the good deals and fun stuff I bought while down at the beach. I enjoy going to all the surf shops and local places and they also have a really awesome outlet mall too. Good times!

I'll start off with my biggest purchase (price wise) of the trip. I went to the Coach outlet and got a super cute new purse! Original retail price was $128 and they had it for $79 at the outlet. When I arrived at the Coach store, they were also handing out 20% off coupons for that day only. So yeah, I got my purse for $63! WooooHoooo!!!

We went to the Fossil outlet because my hubby was wanting to get a new watch. He found a really nice new watch and I found this one! It's a white Adidas sport watch with a digital pink dial. It was originally $60 and I got it for $29!

I love the fact that there is a Juicy Couture outlet at this particular mall. How cool is that? I got a pair of pale yellow terry track pants for $19! Original price $89.

I was very excited to see an AE had been added to this outlet mall since I had been last year. It was a regular AE with the current new items and then it had a large clearance section. I got 2 shirts - both on sale for $10 each, some cute sunglasses for $10 and a set of 3 pairs of earrings for $7. I bought the one printed shirt just so that I could cut it up like in this video - check it out!

AE Shirt Tail T in Chalk - perfect for layering! It's big and off the shoulder and would be cute with a big belt =)

AE Wanderer Sunglasses in Black - LOVE THESE!

All items are currently on sale at all AE's now.

Whenever I go to the outlets I always like to check if there is a CCO - Cosmetics Company Outlet. If you are not familiar with CCO, they carry only Estee Lauder brand products, such as Clinique, MAC, Estee Lauder etc. So yeah you can guess why I love to shop there - MAC!!! I got a lipstick in Way to Love and an eyeshadow single in Mink and Sable. All for $21. It would have been around $10 more at the MAC counter.

And just because it's so freakin gorgeous - a close up for ya:

So that pretty much wraps up my outlet mall trip. I found a bunch of really cute bracelets and necklaces at the surf shops, a cute little seashell jewelry box and I also got several tee shirts at some of the beach restaurants and pubs we went to. We had so much fun and I can't wait to go back!

Okay so I saved the best for last. I got a new tat while down at the beach! I found a fantastic shop down there and it couldn't have been better - very clean, extremely nice and knowledgeable staff and artists with serious skills. I've been wanting to get a small cross tattoo (it's about 1.5 inches long on my left wrist) for sometime now and was so excited when my artist (Lou) showed me this one. He also used a black cherry colored ink for definition and shadows to make the cross look old/antiqued. I love how it turned out and couldn't be more pleased.

Here's a link to Trillium Studios site and also a pic of the new ink!

Until tomorrow!

Eyeliners that RULE

Today I want to share some eyeliner must haves. These are some of my tried and true favorites and maybe you will love them too!

1. Urban Decay 24/7 liners - Absolutely some of the best eyeliner out there! They come in a ton of amazing colors too. They blend and smudge how you want them and then set quickly and last all day. Some of my absolute favs are Zero and Bourbon (pictured) and Stash. This is my go to brand for fun bright liner colors. Urban Decay is sold at Ulta and Sephora.

2. Wet N Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - If you have been wanting to try out cream eyeliner but don't wanna spend a lot this is what you need! This is hands down the best out of all drugstore brand cream liners. Trust me!

3. MAC Fluidline - my absolute favorite high end cream eyeliner. This stuff does NOT budge! Amazing for doing winged eyeliner and tightlining. I use MAC's 209 eyeliner brush to apply this product. Waveline is the gorgeous navy blue pictured. I also love Blacktrack for the perfect smoky black liner look.

4. MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder - Perfect everyday black liner. Like most MAC liners this stuff does't budge.

5. Using Eyeshadow as liner. Pictured is a Milani eyeshadow single. Their eyeshadows are quite similar to MAC but cost about 75% cheaper. Milani is one of my most favorite drugstore brands of eyeshadow. I love using eyeshadows either wet or dry as a liner. It also looks great to layer eyeshadow over your regular liner. Matte shadows work fantastic for this.

What are some of your most favorite eyeliner brands/products?

Colour is big this season and we’re all for trying new looks so were quite pleased to get these beauty tips on how to incorporate it into our make up regime  from the Senior Artists at M.A.C:

"Use any of the Pro Longwear Lipcremes combined with a bright Eye Liner or Eye Shadow. Spring is fun and playful so I always want a little fun in my makeup!" - Amber D

"Use Strobe Cream to put some lustre back into the skin after winter." - Lynsey A

"For fresh blush lips, try Fulfilled Plushglass." - Jenn K

"Spring is the first sign of sun revival and new plant life emerging... break out nature-inspired Eye Shadows! Go nautical with Freshwater Eye Shadow or sprout some leafy greens on the lids using Golden Olive Pigment.”

Pigment

For those of you attending festivals this season, Terry Barber - Director of Make-up Artistry says: "Your favourite festival 'survival kit' should be tailor made with all the iconic 'quick-fix' products you need to keep groomed whatever the conditions! It's not about wearing full on glamour - it should be much less try hard. Clean, dewy skin, sixties mod girl lashes, a combed up brow and plump stained lips. Light on the coverage and heavy on the cool!"

Studio Fix Lash

7 Lash
Lip Conditioner

He continued: "Prep the skin with the brilliant M.A.C Prep and Prime Skin and add a bit of M.A.C Strobe Cream to the high points of the face for a bit of a 'techy' natural skin". 'Done' lashes are back this season. Apply some major layers to top and bottom lashes with the amazing M.A.C Studio Fix Lash Mascara. Finish the look by staining the lip with a lush layer of M.A.C Tinted Lip Conditioner. It's the return of the flower child!"
