I'm Back! Spring Break Beach Haul!

I hope everyone had an awesome Spring Break! I know we sure did! We are back from Orange Beach and Destin and I wanted to share with you some of the good deals and fun stuff I bought while down at the beach. I enjoy going to all the surf shops and local places and they also have a really awesome outlet mall too. Good times!

I'll start off with my biggest purchase (price wise) of the trip. I went to the Coach outlet and got a super cute new purse! Original retail price was $128 and they had it for $79 at the outlet. When I arrived at the Coach store, they were also handing out 20% off coupons for that day only. So yeah, I got my purse for $63! WooooHoooo!!!

We went to the Fossil outlet because my hubby was wanting to get a new watch. He found a really nice new watch and I found this one! It's a white Adidas sport watch with a digital pink dial. It was originally $60 and I got it for $29!

I love the fact that there is a Juicy Couture outlet at this particular mall. How cool is that? I got a pair of pale yellow terry track pants for $19! Original price $89.

I was very excited to see an AE had been added to this outlet mall since I had been last year. It was a regular AE with the current new items and then it had a large clearance section. I got 2 shirts - both on sale for $10 each, some cute sunglasses for $10 and a set of 3 pairs of earrings for $7. I bought the one printed shirt just so that I could cut it up like in this video - check it out!

AE Shirt Tail T in Chalk - perfect for layering! It's big and off the shoulder and would be cute with a big belt =)

AE Wanderer Sunglasses in Black - LOVE THESE!

All items are currently on sale at all AE's now.

Whenever I go to the outlets I always like to check if there is a CCO - Cosmetics Company Outlet. If you are not familiar with CCO, they carry only Estee Lauder brand products, such as Clinique, MAC, Estee Lauder etc. So yeah you can guess why I love to shop there - MAC!!! I got a lipstick in Way to Love and an eyeshadow single in Mink and Sable. All for $21. It would have been around $10 more at the MAC counter.

And just because it's so freakin gorgeous - a close up for ya:

So that pretty much wraps up my outlet mall trip. I found a bunch of really cute bracelets and necklaces at the surf shops, a cute little seashell jewelry box and I also got several tee shirts at some of the beach restaurants and pubs we went to. We had so much fun and I can't wait to go back!

Okay so I saved the best for last. I got a new tat while down at the beach! I found a fantastic shop down there and it couldn't have been better - very clean, extremely nice and knowledgeable staff and artists with serious skills. I've been wanting to get a small cross tattoo (it's about 1.5 inches long on my left wrist) for sometime now and was so excited when my artist (Lou) showed me this one. He also used a black cherry colored ink for definition and shadows to make the cross look old/antiqued. I love how it turned out and couldn't be more pleased.

Here's a link to Trillium Studios site and also a pic of the new ink!

Until tomorrow!

I found a sand dollar at the beach! YAY!

Vests are suddenly everywhere

I'm starting to see vests of all kinds pop up in stores. They are suddenly everywhere I go. I'm especially seeing lots of the long flowy ones like I have pictured. Go to any given website right now and you are sure to see the same thing.

I used to be majorly into vests. Yep in like the late 80's to early 90's. I had suede ones and denim ones. I had a tapestry one with a satin back. Heck I even had one that came with items so that you could decorate it yourself LOL!

These modern vests have a new edge to them. Some of them incorporate old school design, but these are not the vests of the past. So what is your take on these? They are okay to me and I can see them looking cute on the right person, but probably not something I am going to add to my spring/summer wardrobe.

To purchase the vests pictured - click HERE for the AE olive vest and HERE for the Old Navy gray and black ones.

AE has me confused...???

American Eagle is one of my most favorite stores. I have shopped there for years. By years I mean ever since high school and I am 31. I have always loved their clothing, esp. their tank tops and casual lounge pants and hoodies. I was on their website today checking out the new spring line and was very pleased by the items I saw. Well all except one and it has me quite puzzled. Let me say that I have always followed fashion and trends and am not easily confused or stumped by such. Until I saw this - a "layering bandeau." So what does one do w/ a layering bandeau? It's not a bra or a swim top even though we have seen both that resemble this item. It is obviously meant for "layering" so does one wear a blazer over it? Hmmm - I'm still confused! If anyone can please tell me the purpose of a layering bandeau I would be quite interested in learning. This "top" retails for $9.50 and comes in 2 floral prints and 5 solids. Click here LOL if interested! Trend or not, I can promise you that this item will NOT be a part of my spring wardrobe.

After Christmas Bargain!

I don't usually do too much after Christmas shopping, but this year I was needing a new casual winter coat. I am glad I waited and got mine when I did instead of buying back in the early fall. I got the coat in the picture from AE.com the day after Christmas for $40 off! It is exactly what I have been wanting and I like it even more since I got a good deal on it. The color is called Marshmallow and they also had this coat in several other colors - navy, grey, orange and black as I recall. I can't wait for it to come in the mail this week =) Happy Clearance shopping!
