♥ Nail Stickers & Nailene Nails Review ♥

I have bought and worn these nails before - they are a little on the short side but came in handy for all my around the house things I have been doing lately. Seriously I lasted FIVE whole days before I needed to paint my nails.... I cant survive long with out colour on my nails!!!!!!

I received this sample of Nailene nails along with a newer-to-me glue.The pink-tinted brush on glue was a little thinner then I am used to and dried super-duper fast. A little too fast for me, and I think it will take alot of practice to get used to it. I do love my regular glue and have no plans to change anytime soon, but I know this brush on glue will come in handy for when my false nails begin to 'lift' from my natural nails. The brush is on the stiff side and will easily wedge between the false nail & my natural nails.

As always these nailene nails kept their shine even with multiple TOE nail polish changes, even surviving a small acetone spill.

I am having some computer issues lately & just installed windows 7-  so my photo editing programe is all wonky. Also spammers, PLEASE STOP -I'm pretty sure that most people who read my blog don't want 'boner medicine' or to learn how to 'beat vegas casino's, okay! Thanx!

I hope the subtle shimmer comes across in this photo- also the HUGE thumb nail, compared to the smallest nail with this set of Nailene nails

This set of Nailene Bedazzle nail stickers, seem like the most boring of the bunch, but the butterfly's & stars are really pretty, and the summery Hawaiian like flowers are actually really nice. The crystal's & pearls are pretty substantial and I am planning on adding liberal top coat to seal those suckers in when i use them.

These stars and butterfly's are very very pretty.  I'm glad there are several, becuase I will definitely use these - alot. Or I might hoard them...... The stars are really, really cool!
These crystals & pearls are pretty substantial, I will be sure to coat them in T.C. ♥
I think the white flowers will be pretty to dress up a basic french manicure. I like how it has a bit of a curve to it.
These were the ones I used ( the double pink flower) I think they are fun and summery AND LOOOOVE THE BLACK & ORANGE FLOWER!

This glue dries fast!!!! It dries too fast for me! I am definitely going to have to try it a few more times before I master using this. I like my regular glue, the one that comes with most nailene false nails and don't think I will be switching forever anytime soon. one thing I am going to use it for is when I have 'lifting' of my nails and need to get glue into a tiny crevice between my natural nail and my false nails.

♥ Party Like it's 1999 ♥

Base - Black false nails
1 coat of Sally Hansen 'Secrets'
2 coats of Maybelline 'Shooting Stars'
no top coat... this actually ended up being pretty smoothe

I'm calling this "Party like it's 1999" - I am sure that both these polish's are pre 2000...  I felt like a glittery vintage mani for New Years Eve - which I will happily be spending with my man watching movies. I plan to add a little more bling to this, possibly some rhinestones, as I have seen some stunning blinged out nails on the blogs lately.

It was a toss up between Maybelline 'New Years Blues' and a glittery mani. I may torture myself trying to remove this glittery cornucopia tomorrow and whip up a 'New Years Blues' mani.

This Sally Hansen New Lengths polish 'Secrets' was found in a dollar store in my town for $1.50 - on its own it has a rough texture and requires at least 2 coats of Top Coat. Sally Hansen has released this very same shade/type of silver-prismatic coarse glitter many times under different names throughout the years. Maybelline Shooting Stars is a gorgeous dense glitter - a small silver prismatic glitter, and medium sized bar glitter -I wore this as a mani in summertime {photos HERE }I picked this Maybelline polish up at Field's store in my town for $2.00 ( i think $2 ) EDIT - no I got it on sale for $1.00

Below is an award winning fuzzy glitter picture I am very proud of;

♥ Lots of love and thanks to all the bloggers out there putting the time in to share their swatches and nail art, and a special thanks to those who peruse my blog and leave lovely comments. I have learned sooooooo much, and have been inspired to try different things - nail art and techniques, as well as learning about brands and products that I would have otherwise never been exposed to.Best wishes to everyone for a healthy and joyful new year!♥

♥ Nailene 'So Natural - chip proof' nails♥

 These are the new Nailene 'Chip Proof' nails which will be available in stores early in the new year. I am grateful that Nailene sent me a box for review and so far I am very impressed. I had bubbles on each nail= but thankfully they were in the exact same spot on each nail - I am avoiding adding stickers or rhinestones to these, I truly want to do a fair review.  But the temptation to add some bling or cute flower stickers is driving me NUTZ.... so I might add some soon.

If you read my blog, I have written many times that I am not gentle with my nails, if I am not parked here in front of my computer reading, typing, or looking at blogs, then I am usually doing some crafty project; digging through containers in my craft room or fixing something. I will say ~ that  a fair amount of time for a pre-painted false nail manicure to last from a kit , without extreme chips and wear and tear is 5 days for someone like me...

How long do you think a pre-painted acrylic nail kit from the store should last you? Have you purchased and used any pre-painted false nail kits recently - if you did, how long was it before you felt that it did not look it's best anymore?

I truly am curious! So don't be shy and please comment. For me, after 5 days I am ready for a change, even if it just adding some subtle glitter to an existing mani, or stickers or whatever.

But I am interested to really see how these nails will hold up to my rigorous testing.... (which is really my daily life) So far so good..... but I will be posting a few more photos with results and commentary about these new Nailene Nails....

I was super patient with my application, but I did end up using too much glue. So around my cuticle area, there is some glue residue which I will get to with a fine, fine, FINE, buffing block and nail file as that can easily be buffed out to a high shine.

So far this is 3 days of wear and the only issues I have is a tiny black mark on the tip of my MIDDLE nail, and a small chip on the middle of my thumb- I think this is actually from where the acrylic was broken off from the mold or machine or whatever. I have done dishes twice, along with my regular everyday tidy-ing up, been in the shower, and I usually end up washing my hands a multitude of times everyday. We will see how they fare on Sunday - my hardcore cleaning day.....

Some unique properties of these nails;

The crosshatching for the french tip; that's pretty high-tech and it looks really good. In the two photos below, the cross-hatching is easy to see.

The pink nail glue reduced the visibility of the bubbles under these nails. Thankfully they are all in the exact same spot on each nail, I plan on adding nail stickers soon.

They are a good length and do feel comfortable. As always these Nailene nails were wide enough for my nails and come in 12 sizes, 12 realistic sizes! The largest thumb nail is huge - It's so nice to see that there is actually large thumb nails more readily available ( I know i keep writing that ♥)

For my amount of activities in the last 3 days, they are certainly keeping their shine. They still look good.

The orange-wood stick... is plastic - Finally! While I don't use orange wood sticks often, it's nice to see that they are moving away from using wood and turning to plastic. Of course with Nailene & Fing'rs false nail products you get a great nail file that makes shaping false nails a breeze. As always take time when shaping false nails, keep checking the dimensions of the false nail or you may file too much!
