♥ Joe 'Peacock' plus Claire's 10 for $10 ♥

Joe ' Peacock'  - 2 coats & 1 coat of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat ( sunshine )

This is a really pretty shade - A rich Peacock/teal with purple flash, It looks dark blue in indoor lighting = very cool. My application sucked due to this huge stumpy and knobby brush handle (why do they make them like this???????) I like this color and the flash of purple in it it and will eventually pick up a polish similar to this, just in a much better bottle and hopefully with a normal non-stumpy brush handle.

I have a tonne of bubblez and there is really no way to fix that. At the moment I am deciding what other polish I can layer over this to hide my shame...... something glittery of course.

Also - I hit up Claire's in the mall for their 10 for $10 and got alot of frankening supplies and a back-up of 'Magic' I love those 10 for $10 sales, but it makes me reluctant to buy polish at regular price now.... (not really, but, you know..........) I am super duper excited to play around with those holographic glitter polish's, as well as that intense yellow 'Yellow Brick Road' = it is going to make some seriously awesome green frankens!!!!!

♥ JOE Fresh - 'Gunmetal' ♥

Joe 'Gunmetal' - 1 coat over Joe 'Espresso' ( except Middle which is just 2 coats)  = No T.C.

I had hoped this would be a sheer polish, but I actually got it opaque in 2 coats...... The formula is pretty good and even though I hate these stumpy knobbly brush handles I think I did okay with the application.  I applied this over my previous mani, Joe 'Espresso', becuase I though it would be sheer, but is opaque on it's own. The next time I wear this polish 'Gunmetal' I will not layer.

I cannot call this a 'glass-fleck'. I would say it is very much like N.Y.C. 'Molten Metal'... whatever that finish is called ( can I call it a shiny suede.... any ideas...... anyone? )

My previous Mani - JOE 'Espresso' dried in a descent amount of time and has held up even after all the abuse of making some new nail swatching things. You can see in the before photos all the scratches and such, but it managed to stay shiny and vibrant even after some extreme activities.

I did not post photo's of it but with a matte-i-fy-ing top coat this polish has the suede look of the O.P.I.'s and other suede finish polish's that came out in fall & and around X-mas time. I read that the Canadian chain store where these polish can be found are having a Tax Free weekend, I am glad I did not wait =  because these were the last of thier kind, and knowing my grocery store- they will not likely get anymore.

Any-hoo - here is some more pic's I am having a fun weekend at home, and I will be painting my nails and making alot more of the swatch board thingy's pictured below.

Have a great weekend!

Middle - 1 coat of 'Gunmetal' - The rest of my nails are 2 coats of 'Joe Espresso'

JOE Fresh 'Espresso'

I was worried this one would just be another 'looks black except in the sunshine' kinda polish, but this is actually a great espresso color. This is 2 coats with no top coat, as I want to see how it wears without it. I find this formula to be reminiscent of the N.Y.C. polishes... they even have sorta the same smell....

I think this color is very pretty and was hoping to add a dark rich shimmery brown to my collection that did not look black indoors and under most lighting conditions. I despise these big knobby brush handles and usually avoid polish's with handle like this. I was hoping they would just pop off rvealing a smaller skinnier round handle. Why do they make them so awkward? Do and nail polish lovers out there actually like these big knobbly brush handles?

These polish are currently available in Canada at most Loblaws, Fortino's or Superstore  = whatever they are called in your Provence. They are 3/$10 or 4 bucks each for 6 ml. The formula on these three is fabulous and I am very grateful for that. But ........I think they are overpriced and if not for the kitschy-ness and these 3 pretty colors I would just stick to my other favorite drugstore brands.

New Polish - JOE - & Claire's Neon Burst

2 coats of Claire's Neon Burst over 2 coats of Billie White - Pinky is 3 coats  of Neon Burst

Wow - this is bright, probably the brightest I own. I applied 2 coats of a stark white polish before I applied this bright Claire's polish 'Neon Burst' = I am surprised I even get a decent  non fuzzy photo of it. On my PINKY is just 3 coats of Claire's Neon Burst. No top coat yet, we'll see if I get to some nail art or stickers. I seem to be in a painting mood lately, and I change my polish so often at the moment that I rarely get to my stickers / nail art.

Below is some polish I just picked up. At a Canadian grocery store = Loblaws, Superstore, Fortino's---  whatever it's called in your Provence. These 6 ml polish are very unique colors. I don't think i have anything like these 3 and so I picked them. Most of the other polishs i have ones extremely similar so I passed. The quantity is only 6 ml and they are 3 for $10.00. i totally did not want to buy these - but my impulse got the best of at least they are only $3.00 -ish, right?

And..... of course these were the last three of each kind. Didn't these just come out on the 12th - they surfaced at my grocery store this morning.... I hope they have a box for re-fills in the back.......

anyhoo - I will be swatching these tomorrow. L to R -
