Shoe Lust

As much as we would like a pair of sparkly Louboutins – which we’d wear every week to try and justify the price tag – we don’t have in excess of £500 lying spare.

So we were more than chuffed to find these lookalikes for only £120!

TOMS Eyewear – The New One for One

Most of us are familiar with TOMS shoes – for every pair you buy, they will give a new pair of shoes to a child in need. We’ve got a pair of red flat espadrilles, they’re only £32.99 in Office and we felt good knowing we were getting comfy shoes and helping a needy child at the same time.

£32.99

Well now TOMS are doing the same with eyewear. For every pair of sunglasses you buy, the company will help give sight to a person in need through prescription glasses, medical treatment or sight-saving surgery.

With classic Jackie O, Aviator and Wayfarer styles, there’s sure to be something to suit you. Guilt free shopping at its best.

And we tip our hat to TOMS for coming up with such a simple and beautiful idea.

J’Adore: Python Heels

As much as we love leopard print, we are slowly thinking about converting to snakeskin. We’ve seen some gorgeous cropped snakeskin trousers in Zara for only £39.99 but we’re not sure we’re ready to make that bold a statement.

In the meantime, we’re loving all these:

Platform vs Wedge

We just aren’t sure. They’re both comfy and they both go with most of the clothes we already own.

PPQ at Office

We’re quite keen on London label PPQ - fans include Jamelia, Shingai Shoniwa and Naomie Harris - but can’t afford as much from their main collection as we would like.

Jamelia in PPQ
So we were rather chuffed to learn of their collaboration with Office Shoes, first unveiled at the PPQ Spring/Summer 2011 show during London Fashion Week.

The range is in stores now and while we don’t love it all - some are a bit too clumpy for our liking - a few styles are key S/S staples and with the majority under £100, we like this slice of designer pie.

Online Find: Supergra

As much as we love a platform heel, we're also partial to a comfy flat or pair of trainers. So we were delighted to come across super chic Italian plimsoll brand Supergra.

£40
The  classic Superga plimsoll has gained iconic status since its inception in 1911 and is known as the 'people's shoe' in Italy where they are worn from the city to the beach.

The shoe works with retro 1950s looks like cropped trousers or tea dresses for the girls and with chinos and a classic polo for the boys.

Definitely a more chic alternative to Converse.

Je T’aime: Wedges

We want all these! They go with maxi dresses, shorts, flares, skinnies – we can’t think of much they don’t work with. Plus, they make our legs look longer and are more comfortable than a stiletto. Is that justification to buy more than one pair?!

Shoe Heaven

Matches.com has a limited edition, up to 70% off sale on last season’s shoes. We’re personally not too bothered which season a shoe is from, if we like it – we like it!

Charlotte Olympia. Was £455, now £182

Quite a few styles are classics that can be worn in any season – fashion or weather wise- and one pair in particular, although ridiculously out of our price range, have our hearts beating just that little bit faster!

Style Crush - Christian Louboutin Boots

J’adore! We WANT these! We don’t care that we’d get very little change from £1000 – we feel we need them in our life!

Louboutin 'Big Lips Booty'

Animal print was everywhere at the S/S 11 shows, so why not up the style stakes and splash out on pony skin?

If you spend this much money on a pair of boots, think about the various ways you’re going to wear them. In fact, at that price, make them work with everything in your wardrobe!

Colour Block Your Feet

A key trend at the Autumn/Winter 2010 fashion weeks was coloured shoes, as seen at Diane von Furstenberg, Balenciaga and Miu Miu.

Backstage at Diane von Furstenberg

This look can be worn in many ways. Keep it safe in all black and let your outfit pop shoe wise. Or wear with contrasting socks for a loud styling statement. If you’re particularly brave, wear with a clashing colour for an eye-catching look.

We like the following:

Carvela platform courts, £140

Ted Baker slingbacks, reduced to £39

KG by Kurt Geiger Platforms, £170
