Next Season Sale Shopping

As much as we like a bargain, we don’t want to be stuck with vests and flip flops as the weather takes the inevitable turn for the worse. With that in mind, we scoured Vogue for what’s big next season and will use that as a guide to buy next season’s clothes at last season’s prices. Fashion is such a fickle beast and we simply can’t afford to buy a new trend every month!

Sales are the perfect time to buy investment designer pieces that will last. Here’s what we like in the my-wardrobe.com sale:

Was £173, now £71

Masculine style clothes and shoes are big for Autumn/Winter. Buy these patent flats and wear with summer dresses now or fluid trousers when the weather turns.

Summer Sale Time!

It’s that time of year again – sales! Before we get all giddy with excitement, we try to be practical about shopping in the sales and always look for investment pieces as opposed to things that are very high fashion but won’t be worn past this Summer. Items like a Mac or trench coat, anything cashmere, maxi dresses or denim are always good buys.

Think about next season too - mannish shapes, loose trousers, flat shoes, tweed, anything burgundy or rust, polka dots, sequins, feathers and sixties style dresses or tunics with a dropped waist are all big for Autumn/Winter – so if you see anything like that, buy now and be the envy of your friends later in the year!

Online Find: GiGi Vintage Clothing Sale

To celebrate their first birthday, vintage clothing shop GiGi will be holding a sale on Tuesday June 7 where all items in their birthday collection will cost £7 (from 7am to 7pm only).

Some of the items in the knitwear section remind of jumpers from the 80’s – a look we aren’t that keen on revisiting! The playsuits and dresses are very now and certainly worth their price tag. Even more so, when hopefully, that price is reduced to only £7!

£20

Make sure you take a look at the jewellery section; we saw Chanel and Dior available for under £100.

Miss Selfridge 50% off Sale

Today marks the start of the Miss Selfridge sale. Get in there quick ladies, as the best stuff goes first, and all you'll be left with are sizes 6 and 16 in clothes, even with a great reduction, no one wants to wear. We sometimes wonder if shops hold on to random pieces in the hope that splashing a shiny red sale sticker on will somehow incentivise us to buy it!

We have our eye on these:
