Tesco to Launch Ethical Jewellery Range

F&F at Tesco will be the exclusive stockist for the first season of ‘This is Africa’ - the new diffusion line from ethical accessory label Made.

The 16-piece range, produced by an African cooperative, celebrates and encourages ethical trading in Africa and is made from largely recycled materials - the brass is reclaimed and upcycled through a traditional casting process and glass components are recycled from drinking bottles.

Prices range from £4 to 25 and are available exclusively online at www.tesco.com/clothing.

Designer Bags at Tesco?

We told you there was nothing Tesco couldn’t do! (See this post for news on their beauty offerings).

Florence & Fred at Tesco have teamed up with London based designer Mark Fast (his designs have been worn by Rihanna and Christina Aguilera) and are going to sponsor his Autumn/Winter 2011 catwalk show at London Fashion Week later this month.

As part of the deal, Mark has collaborated with F&F to design an exclusive dual branded London Fashion Week tote bag, which features a black and white x-ray style print.

The bag will be given to journalists and guests at Mark Fast’s catwalk show, but a limited number will be available to buy online for £10 on Tesco's website following the show on February 21 at 6pm GMT.

Get in there ‘Fast’ – we predict they’ll sell like hot cakes.

Become Beautiful at Tesco

There really is nowhere Tesco won’t go! The supermarket behemoth (and that term may actually be an understatement) are planning to open beauty salons inside Tesco Extra stores this month. Not the first place you’d think of when you need a quick wax!

They have trialled beauty services like threading and nail treatments already and the feedback has been positive. Apparently their aim is to improve the whole beauty product range within Tesco Extra stores.

We have tried their BNatural organic range in the past and were pleasantly surprised. We expected it to be rubbish but the cleanser and soap were very good, even on sensitive skins. We’re partial to a bit of threading so if we can get that done after we’ve picked up the weekly shop, we think it’s a great idea!
