We like the AMAs. We like that they are voted for by Joe Public and not ‘industry insiders’ (who are these insiders anyway?). Judging by the winners, it seems safe to say people really, really like Justin Bieber.

Brandy Confesses to Eating Disorder

She says: ‘I was very young and I stopped eating. Every time I looked in the mirror I just, I just saw this girl that I wanted to be a lot thinner. It got to a point where it was… it was unhealthy. 

I think every actress at some point goes through that feeling of wanting to be thinner. Success without happiness is the biggest failure.’

Most of us can relate to wanting to be slimmer at some point in our lives. Imagine being young, impressionable and growing up in the public eye. Does that make pressure make it all that more hard?

Beyoncé - Too Much Heat for TV?

The Advertising Standards Authority ruled this week that the TV ad for the Beyoncé’s fragrance, Beyoncé Heat, can only be broadcast after 7:30 pm, following 14 complaints by customers that its content was offensive.



An ASA spokesman said ‘Although we noted the ad was sexually suggestive and might therefore be distasteful to some, we considered that, in the context of marketing for perfume, the ad was unlikely to cause serious or widespread offence to most viewers.’

Coty, the company behind the perfume accepted the ruling but said the ad was intended to reflect the singer Beyoncé's personal 'sexy chic' style. They claimed the ad was not overtly graphic or explicitly sexual and at no point was Beyoncé naked. They said the ad was stylized, and in keeping with other ads in the genre.
