...Well partially at least!
I had posted awhile back about finally ordering my Emjoi Epilator. Unfortunately the one I ordered stayed out of stock for over a month and the company I ordered it from ended up canceling my order. That was a real bummer. I ended up purchasing the same epilator (only the corded model because it was a little cheaper) from Beach Audio on Ebay. I got mine for less than $48 and I love it!
Here's what Emjoi.com says:
The Emjoi Soft Caress is our newest and most innovative epilator to hit the market. The Emjoi Soft Caress features 36 patented 24-karat gold-plated hypoallergenic tweezer discs that remove hair quickly and efficiently. Our Pain Reduction technology, coupled with a massaging finger attachment (included), greatly reduces discomfort. The new ergonomically designed soft grip feature commands control when removing hair from the legs, arms, underarms, bikini line and even individual facial hair. It will even remove hair from the root as short as 0.5 mm, resulting in skin that is smooth and silky. Corded operation allows for the flexibility of removing hair anywhere and any time. The Emjoi Soft Caress includes a carrying pouch, adapter, cleaning brush and massaging finger attachment.
I have gotten so sick and tired of having to shave only to be left with stubble coming back in 24 hours. Nothing is more gross to me than the feeling of prickly legs. If money was no object I would get laser hair removal for my entire body. Yes I am that serious about hair removal. The only place I want hair is on my head. I have shaved, waxed, tweezed, used buffers, Nair, - you name it and I have tried it to remove hair. But epilating is by far the best thing I have ever tried. I have a very high pain tolerance so this option is fine for me. The epilator works so well at removing hair. If you have waxed before you can definitely tolerate epilating. Just like waxing, it can leave your skin red. Definitely plan on doing it on a day you aren't leaving your house or in the evening. And again just like waxing, your hair is removed at the root so it takes weeks for it to grow back.
All you do is take a nice warm bath, exfoliate and then you are really to get out, dry off and start using the epilator. You can use it without taking a bath, but it works best when your skin is clean and moist and it makes hair removal easier.
This little gadget is loud and my dog really hates the sound! But it's awesome and the best thing I have purchased in a long time. If you are also sick of shaving and don't want the mess of waxing, but like the results of waxing, then you should totally try using an epilator. I think you will really love it! I will still keep razors and shave gel handy for sure, but my epilator will do most of the work.

Brown Beauty Beat
A round up of new and relevant beauty products.
E45 Derma Restore
This cream is targeted to the over 45 market but we think you’re never too young to take care of your skin and if it’s meant for more mature skin, it’s only going to give us extra moisturising. We tried this for the recommended three weeks and we second the results of the clinical trial – it gives long lasting hydration, it leaves the skin smooth and supple and skin feels softer to the touch. In the name of fairness we gave some our Mums too and they loved it.
£4.99. Available at Boots.
GOSH Mini Nail Lacquers
They come in a variety of colours; they’re only £2.99 and they’re mini sized so they won’t take up valuable space in our summer holiday suitcase. At this price we’ll probably end up leaving it with one of our relatives (cos you know how they can be when you come to visit).
£2.99 Available at Superdrug.
Fade Out
Off the bat, please, please, please do not use this to bleach your skin. Vybz Kartel should not be your style icon.
If however, like us, on some of those trips to the Caribbean/Africa you came back with mosquito bites on your limbs that have now left unattractive scars, try this product to gently fade them. Again, do not do a Lil Kim and turn yourself a whiter shade of pale.
£9.18. Available at Boots.
