Using Dry Oil

I love a nice body cream or lotion more than anyone, but what I really love is using dry oil. If you have never heard of dry oil before, allow me to share with you some of my favorites.

In my July Birchbox, there was a small sample size bottle of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse® / Multi-Usage Dry Oil. I absolutely love this oil and it has a nice subtle scent. It's definitely the most luxurious dry oil I have ever used.

What I like most about dry oil is the fact that it is not greasy. It makes your skin amazingly soft and smooth and it soaks right in. You only use the tiniest amount. Over applying dry oil will make you greasy.

Most bottles either spray or allow you to just pour the oil onto your hands to apply. And you treat it just like a lotion or cream. It's best to apply it to lightly damp skin once you have gotten out of the shower or bath.

The absolute best dry oil I have found (and it's also the best price) is Booth's Dry Oil. It's available at Ulta and is $6.99. It's available in both Tahitian Monoi and Brazilian Nut. Both are amazing!

If you have never ventured into the world of dry oils, you should definitely check them out. There are many available on the market and so many different price points. Be sure to always check out the ingredients. Unfortunately many of the moderately priced ones have filler ingredients and mineral oil. And mineral oil doesn't soak into your skin. Definitely avoid any dry oils containing mineral oil unless you want to be greasy.

Dry oil is an excellent choice for anyone, but it's especially great if you live in a super hot and humid climate. If you find that lotion just feels like it's melting and sweating off your skin, definitely give dry oil a try. The majority of dry oils are all natural and way better for your skin than most creams or lotions.

I promise you will love it and your skin will glow!
