The New Face of Sainsbury’s?

According to The Daily Mail (so don’t quote us) Lorraine Pascale – a model turned TV chef – is replacing Jamie Oliver as the new face of Sainsbury’s.

Lorraine Pascale

Star of BBC 2 Show Baking Made Easy, Ms Pascale was scouted in London’s Covent Garden aged 16 and during her 17 year career, worked with Chanel, Lagerfeld and Versace and was the first British black model on the cover of American Elle.

She gave up modelling as she wanted something more fulfilling and is now a classically trained chef and specialist cake maker and has worked at foodie greats Petrus, The Mandarin Oriental, Gilgamesh and The Wolseley and now runs her own business – Ella’s Bakehouse.

The Sainsbury’s deal is rumoured to be worth a cool £1million a year but neither side are confirming or denying so watch this space!

Her book Baking Made Easy was second only to Jamie Oliver’s 30-Minute Meals in the bestseller lists and is available on Amazon for £8.99.
