I have been wanting to try this shampoo for the longest time and I finally purchased a bottle the other day at CVS. I had a $2 off coupon (which I got from the coupon machine at CVS when you scan your CVS card) so I picked up a bottle last week.
Here's why I'm loving it:
1. It smells amazing - like chocolate and the beach!
2. It's not harsh - sulfate and sodium free
3. It lathers well despite not having lathering ingredients
4. You do get a lot for your money - 13 oz to be exact
5. It's made in the USA
6. Bottles are made from recycled post consumer resin and labels printed with environmentally responsible inks
7. No animal testing
8. Does what it says - my hair is soft and silky and not weighed down
9. Doesn't make my hair greasy
Here's what CVS.com says:
An exclusive blend of antioxidant rich cocoa nut oil along with lush keratin proteins to strengthen and soften the hair, while organic avocado oil and cocoa butter smooth the cuticle for straight, strong tresses, adding a brilliant glow and luminescent shine. Sulfate & sodium free. It is imperative to use a sulfate & sodium free shampoo/conditioner to maintain the hair straightening memory. Safe for color treated hair. Why We Love It: It's an amazing keratin therapy originating from the Amazon rainforest. Why You Want: This rich formula of Brazilian cocoa nut oil and keratin proteins to smooth and strengthen your curly or wavy tresses. What's In It For You: Transform your hair into silky smooth locks with this exclusive blend of organic cocoa nut oil, rich keratin proteins, avocado oil and cocoa butter. What It's In: Organix bottles are eco-friendly, manufactured from materials containing recycled post-consumer resin. All labels are printed utilizing environmental inks and compostable label film made from annually renewable resource corn, not from petrochemicals. Not tested on animals. Made in USA.
I purchased my bottle at CVS. Original price was $7.79 and I had a $2 off coupon. This shampoo may be a bit more expensive than your standard drugstore shampoo, but it's worth it. It you have hair that is frizzy, I think you will really like it. My hair is naturally straight, baby fine, medium thickness, with oily roots and dry ends and it works great for me. I cannot comment on it's matching shampoo as I have not tried it.
