Simple At Home Teeth Whitening Tips
I've never had any professional whitening services done to my teeth (i.e. Zoom etc.) but I am here to share with you some of the at home things I do myself to keep my teeth really white. It won't cost you much, but it will require some time and upkeep on your part.
Here's pretty much what you will need to do:
1. Pick your toothbrush. I'm a huge fan of Oral B's Pulsar brush. It's a disposable vibrating/electric toothbrush and nothing has ever worked better for me.
2. Pick your toothpaste. I love Crest Pro Health and have used it for years. I like to alternate it with Ultra Brite Advanced Whitening.
3. Pick your floss. I don't have a go to brand with floss. However it is super important to floss your teeth regularly. It reduces staining between your teeth and helps your smile to look much whiter.
4. The extra effort. Here is pretty much my best tip I can give you that goes beyond normal teeth maintenance. I take a regular bottle of hydrogen peroxide (the stuff in the brown bottle you use on cuts) and I either swish some in my mouth like mouthwash or I pour a little on my toothbrush after cleaning my teeth and brush with it again. This is one of the best whitening tips I can give you. It also works to use straight baking soda on your toothbrush, but I prefer peroxide. You don't use this everyday, but just as needed.
5. One last tip. Have you ever heard of Targon Smokers Mouth Wash? Well it works wonders to take stains off your teeth. I'm not a smoker and you don't have to be to use this stuff. I used 2 whole bottles back to back before my wedding years ago and my teeth were glowing. It's just like using Listerine and tastes like it too. You use it everyday just like any mouthwash. You can get it at Walmart and most mass retailers.
So there you have it. My basics for keeping my teeth looking white. It does work I promise!
