Louis Vuitton Launches Site for Aspiring Artists

ReCreative is a ground breaking website created to get young people excited about contemporary art. Designed in collaboration with the Hayward Gallery, the Royal Academy of Arts, the South London Gallery, Tate Britain and the Whitechapel Gallery, the website gives information and insight into the workings of the professional art world and offers an online community for young people to share and showcase their own work.

If you fancy yourself as a bit of a modern artist but aren’t quite ready to share it with the world, ReCreative gives you the opportunity to see how art goes from an idea to a reality, the types of jobs available in the art world and chances to win prizes including limited edition pieces of art and behind the scenes access at high profile art events.

ReCreative contributors include Dazed & Confused founder (and Kate Moss’ baby daddy) Jefferson Hack and artist Tracey Emin.

Watch the video to see what the artists involved say the site is about.

Visit the site and upload your work – it could be the beginning of something amazing.
