Keep A Child Alive: Alicia Keys

Keep A Child Alive is a charity, co-founded by Alicia Keys, that works to providing life-saving AIDS treatment, care and support services to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.

Last night the charity held its Annual Ball at The Roundhouse in London. Hosted by Alicia Keys and Mark Ronson and with performances by Alicia, Mark, Tinie Tempah, Paloma Faith and Boy George (George Michael was slated to attend but had to bow out due to a tooth infection) the dress code was fabulous as was the evening.

Individual tickets were £1,500 each so we’re sure they raised a truck load of money for a very worthy cause.

Alicia said of the event: “It's such an important thing for me to do this work, and for us to have a voice for the voiceless, so many people out there are having to head their households and they're a child.  Imagine having to raise your brothers and sisters and having to worry about putting food on the table.”

Celebrity attendees included:

Meanwhile, Alicia is preparing to release a Deluxe and Collectors Edition of her multi platinum Songs in A Minor on June 27. Sneak preview of what they contain here:
