Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus

Lately I've been on a tinted lip balm kick. I guess it's partly due to the fact that it's near or at 100 degrees here in Memphis and our summer will get even hotter. This, combined with the fact that I've been on the lookout for the most moisturizing, yet natural lip product I can get my hands on. I'm still really enjoying my Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Sugar Rose, but I wanted to find something even more natural and at a cheaper price point.

Enter Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm. Oh my gosh I am in love with this stuff. I have been wanting to buy it for sometime now and finally did the other day. I was originally wanting to purchase the shade Pink Blossom, but my Super Target was sold out. I ended up getting Hibiscus which was my second choice. It's such a gorgeous corally pink shade and it's really flattering with my tan skin and it brightens up my face.

Here's why I'm loving it:

1. No frost or sparkles
2. No peppermint like most Burts Bees lip products (it's got a mild fruity thing going on instead that's barely noticeable).
3. Just the perfect amount of glossiness
4. Long lasting
5. Just one swipe is all you need
6. Can easily be applied without a mirror
7. Extremely moisturizing and comfortable to wear
8. My lips don't start feeling chapped when it eventually starts to wear off
9. It wears evenly and never looks weird or feathery on lips
10. It's got amazing ingredients and is 100% natural
11. Doesn't feel greasy, waxy or heavy
12. Provides a gorgeous, sheer wash of color
13. Free of parabens, phtalates, sodium lauryl sulfates (SLS) and petrochemicals
14. Burt's Bees does not test on animals

This product retails for $6.99 and perhaps you might be thinking that's completely ridiculous for a drugstore brand lip balm. But let me just say this - It's TOTALLY worth the price! It's 100% natural and you really are getting what you pay for. And after paying $22.50 for my Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Balm, it's like a total steal!

Check out the ingredients:
ngredients: cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, olus (vegetable oil, huile vegetale), cera alba (beeswax, cire d'abeille), olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, candelilla cera (euphorbia cerifera wax, cire de candelilla), helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, aroma (flavor)*, lanolin, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, cananga odorata flower wax, jasminum officinale (jasmine) flower wax, ammonium glycyrrhizinate, tocopherol, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil (huile de colza).

I love everything about this lip balm and the only complaint I have is the packaging. It's stupid and wasteful and I totally don't get it. The outer cardboard tube makes zero sense. But that is not gonna stop me from buying other shades.

This product is perfect for people such as myself who want more than just a clear lip balm. I typically wear lipstick and gloss together and I feel comfortable wearing this lip balm on it's own. I also feel that this product would be ideal for those who normally wear just a clear balm, but want to branch out and aren't ready or don't want a full on lipstick or gloss.

This lip balm is available in 6 colors and is sold at Burt's Bees retailers.
