~ Wet n' Wild 'Sapphire Blue' with 3 different types of blue glitter ~
This 'Glitterpocalypse' looks really textured but it's not. I find I am turning towards blue polish's the last little while..... especially these types of rich vibrant blues. This Wn'W polish 'Sapphire Blue' -is the blue that is in a tie with my beloved N.Y.C. 'Skin Tight Denim' for my favorite blue polish ever... It is soooooooo pretty, and whenever these nails begin to fall off - I am going to doing a 'real' mani with 'Sapphire Blue'. I totally overlooked it all these months, even though I have done like 3 skittles with it.....
Basically I created this by applying 2 coats of Wn'W Sapphire Blue, let it dry, then applied a coat of clear polish and sprinkled on these 3 different types of glitter, when the clear polish was no longer tacky, I 'pressed' the glitter onto the polish, and waited for it to dry. I then added a thick goop-ey coat of ChG Fast Forward, & when that was dry, a coat of Wn'W Old Skool Silver Glitter.
My ring and pinky have skimpy top coats -I think this may be the very last mani that I can use my bottle of China Glaze 'Fast Forward' for. I have found ChG Fast Forward to be the best Top Coat for sealing in copious amounts of glitter like this. But = it got thick too, too fast and I would love to find a mini bottle someday in the future for my Glitterpocalypse's..... In fact - they should start selling top-coats in mini bottles in a 6-pack for hard core nail polishers!
I used an old skool Wet & Wild polish for this as well....I found it at a garage sale in my town for $0.25 cents - It's the old bottle style. I had the older Wet n' Wild multi color glitter, I would love to see a bottle of that again...... some day I am sure I will.
