A t-shirt is one garment that a man can wear in wild colors and still get away with it.
Full sleeved t-shirts look good when they are of two tones, blended or gives a faded look, instead of solid tones. Three fourth sleeves look better on a lean torso. Personally, I feel three fourths sleeves are not that great on men. But wearing a full sleeved t-shirt and pulling it up [just below the elbow] is really cool.

During summer choose bright colors. This not only blends with the season but also makes you feel cool because bright colors do not absorb much heat. For the dark skinned, earthy colors such as mustard or green goes well. For the fair skinned lurid colors such as orange suits best.

Layering has been catching up over the years. And, to layer a t-shirt is cool, hip and easy. Wear a full sleeve solid shirt inside and team it with a half sleeve t-shirt on the out. This is apt for those who are skinny. When you layer, make sure that the colors of the t-shirts compliment each other.

If you are going for a distressed look, take care of the fit. If it is an half sleeve shirt, assure that the sleeves fit snugly. However, it shouldn't be tight at the chest or the shoulders and not too narrowed at the sides.

Graphic prints on the t-shirts are really cool. And, if it is a single tone t-shirt, it makes the print stand out.Make sure that the print you choose doesn't cover the entire t-shirt and assure that the print compliments the color of your t-shirt.

Striped T-shirts are really cool. Try off beat combinations instead of the regular whites, blacks and blues. If you are on the bulkier side or heavy on the top, go for broad stripes. Broad stripes can make you appear slimmer than you actually are.

Few Tips:
- Stretch the neckband a bit when you buy t-shirts with round or v-neck styles. If the neck band feels tight or stiff, it's best to avoid buying it.
- T-shirts that hit at the hip are the best. Any longer and they look drab and dowdy.
- The t-shirt sleeves should never flare out. They should fit snugly around your arms.
- If you prefer your upper body to appear slimmer, pair a dark colored t-shirt with light colored denims.
